Paraguay and the United States held a strategic dialogue to identify investment opportunities and follow-up mechanisms. The October 19 meeting, organized by the Ministry of Industry and Commerce through Rediex, included more than 15 US business representatives accompanying Deputy Secretary of State Christopher Landau.
Energy, mining and data centers
Businesses from logistics, energy, data centers, mining and agribusiness participated. The ministry also highlighted artificial intelligence and opportunities to build higher-value industries. The official announcement describes potential projects, not confirmed investment commitments, disbursements or implementation timetables.
What investors should watch
Industry and Commerce Minister Marco Riquelme emphasized infrastructure, formal employment and legal certainty. Energy-intensive proposals still require verifiable agreements on electricity supply, grid access, funding and deadlines. A bilateral dialogue should not be mistaken for a finalized investment decision.
Radar Inversión will track signed agreements, participating companies, investment amounts and project milestones, distinguishing expressions of interest from verified financial commitments.
