The Central Bank of Paraguay’s October EVE survey revised the median expected end-2026 exchange rate from G. 6,100 to G. 5,905 per dollar, a decline of G. 195, or around 3.2%. Respondents expect G. 5,815 for October, versus G. 6,000 expected for the same month in September’s survey, and G. 5,850 for November. Median 2026 forecasts also include inflation of 3.0%, GDP growth of 4.5%, and a year-end monetary policy rate of 5.50%. These figures are survey expectations, not current market quotes or future monetary policy decisions. The exchange rate revision matters for importers, exporters and companies with foreign-currency obligations. Its impact depends on currency exposure. The survey closed on October 9, 2026.
