Paraguay's Central Bank unanimously held its policy rate at 5.50% after its October 23 meeting. The IMAEP rose 6.7% year on year in August, the 2026 GDP growth projection increased to 5.0%, and annual September inflation was 1.7%, with a year-end forecast of 3.0%.
An unchanged benchmark provides continuity but does not guarantee stable bank lending rates. The next Monetary Policy Committee meeting is scheduled for November 20, 2026.
