The Family Office Alliance (FOA) meeting in Paraguay from October 19 to 22 gathered representatives of European family investment groups exploring productive opportunities. Industry and Commerce Minister Marco Riquelme highlighted Paraguay's potential as an industrial platform for Mercosur and other export markets. Delegates held meetings and activities in Asunción and other parts of the country. Riquelme cited an approximately USD 150 million investment involving Spain's Costa Group and the acquisition of a pork-processing facility as an example of European business interest. This cited transaction is not a new commitment by all FOA attendees; the ministry did not confirm such commitments. The meeting also presented DigiFarm, an initiative offering free access to satellite imagery and agricultural parcel data. Radar analysis: actual investment projects, jobs and exports will determine the economic significance of this interest.
