Verified facts

On October 28, the MIC reported on HM Semillas' plant in Filadelfia, Boquerón. It receives seeds from cotton ginning, removes remaining lint and conditions them for reuse in the field.

The publication does not specify investment, annual capacity or actual output. A goal of reaching 500,000 hectares of cotton was discussed over a ten-to-twenty-year horizon; it is not an area already planted.

Radar reading

Radar reading: the business relevance lies in suitable inputs closer to growers and links between farming, processing and technical services. This could create maintenance, transport and quality-control demand, subject to verifiable volumes and contracts.

Assessing that market requires evidence of operating capacity, seed quality, seasons served and growers' demand. Mentioned opportunities in oil and animal feed do not establish that additional production lines are already operating. Monitoring should cover utilisation and sales alongside installed infrastructure.
