Ciudad del Este, 30 October 2026. Paraguayan textile company Novare has begun manufacturing garments for Brazilian brand Hering under a private-label contract. The company's president, Mirian Medina, told La Nación that an initial container carrying approximately 57,000 garments has already been shipped.

A Paraguayan manufacturer joins a regional supply chain

Novare started operations in May 2026 and was inaugurated in September. It makes clothing to its clients' technical specifications. The agreed target is an accumulated average of up to 10,000 garments a day during the contract. This is a target, not verified current daily production.

Investment and employment

According to Medina, the wholly Paraguayan-owned operation represents an estimated USD 1 million investment, approximately 2,000 square metres of facilities and around 200 automated machines. The company currently employs 140 people and expects to recruit roughly 100 additional workers. These are planned hires rather than jobs already created.

The factory is located in the San Juan Business Park at km 8 Acaray, Ciudad del Este, and operates under maquila and temporary-admission arrangements.

Radar analysis: from installed capacity to export contracts

The contract shows how a local manufacturer can enter a Brazilian brand's supply chain. Subsequent shipments, actual hiring, equipment utilization and recurring orders will determine the sustained economic impact.
