3 November update: asphalt paving completed on section 2
Paraguay's MOPC reports that the pavement structure and final asphalt surface are completed along the 42.8 km of section 2, between km 37.4 and 80.2. Safety barriers, signage and slope protection remain in progress; completed paving is not the same as final opening.
Section 1, between km 2.5 and 37.4, has reached 79% overall progress, with 24.86 km paved and two bridges reported at 98% and 99% completion.
The four-section Chaco’i–General Bruguez corridor is expected to improve freight transport and access for approximately 60,500 Lower Chaco residents. The whole project is not yet complete.
