Paraguay's tourism agency SENATUR and intellectual property authority DINAPI announced new fee benefits on 15 October for eligible businesses holding a valid Cédula MIPYMES. Microbusinesses may qualify for 100% waivers during their first three years for specified REGISTUR procedures and intellectual-property registration services. From year four, qualifying microbusinesses receive 75% discounts and small businesses 50%, subject to applicable rules. The intellectual-property regime covers brands, software and other defined rights, with up to three requests per taxpayer registration number. Applicants must provide the required documentation, including their valid SME credential and tax compliance certificate. The announcement does not constitute a general exemption from taxation.
