BCP update — 7 November 2026
In an official video released on 7 November, Paraguay’s Central Bank clarified three points: depositors do not need to register or complete any procedure to receive payment, as payments are processed automatically; not appearing on the consultation website or receiving an error does not mean a depositor has been excluded, since customer data is being added and updated in stages; and payments are continuing. The BCP said more than one million people had already received their savings. The website is for consultation, not registration. The video does not provide individual payment dates or confirm that all pending payments have been completed. Depositors should check their receiving account transactions and available balance to verify actual credit.
Payments are being rolled out in groups. How to check eligibility, your assigned bank and whether the money reached your account.
Who qualifies in the first two groups
The first group announced by the BCP on November 5 covers deposits up to PYG 10 million, provided the depositor owes no debt to ueno bank and has an active account at another financial institution. A BCP statement reproduced by ABC Color on November 7 says the second group covers demand deposits above PYG 10 million and up to PYG 121,760,000, with the same debt and account requirements. Can credit card debt explain a missing payment?
The first two groups were announced for depositors with no debt to ueno bank. That requirement concerns obligations to ueno. To calculate the advance, the BCP said overdue debts to that bank are deducted. A credit card in good standing can carry a balance without any overdue debt. The notices reviewed do not explain how this case was classified for group assignment. A missing payment alone does not establish the cause. BCP.
Bank assignment and payment
The fund transfers money to the receiving institution first. That institution then credits the beneficiary’s account. PYG 121,760,000 is the announced advance limit. The general coverage limit published by the BCP is PYG 228,300,000 per depositor and institution, subject to applicable conditions. BCP · FGD.

What to check if payment is still pending
Use the BCP portal to identify your assigned institution. If none appears, check the deposit type and group requirements. Records are uploaded gradually. If an institution is listed, check your statement and ask the institution to confirm whether it received the payment order and its status. Keep the reference number. If its response is insufficient, consult the BCP complaints channel. BCP · FGD.
Depositors' questions: what to do in each situation
My ID or tax ID is not showing in the BCP lookup. Does that mean I am excluded?
Not necessarily. The tool identifies the institution assigned to receive payment; the reviewed BCP statements do not say that no match means a depositor has lost the right to payment. Check the official BCP portal again, keep your deposit records, and request clarification through official channels if unresolved.
What if I do not have an account at another bank?
The BCP said on November 4 that a savings account would be opened in the beneficiary's name at another bank or finance company. However, the announced first payment group requires an active account elsewhere, so do not assume those without one are in that first group. BCP statement.
Are PYG 10 million, 40 minimum wages and 75 minimum wages the same?
No. PYG 10 million is the deposit threshold for the first announced group; up to 40 minimum wages (PYG 121,760,000) is the general advance announced, subject to the applicable rules; and 75 minimum wages (PYG 228,300,000) is the overall statutory coverage cap per depositor and institution. They are not three automatically cumulative payments. BCP / deposit guarantee.
What if my deposit was in US dollars?
The reviewed payment announcements do not sufficiently specify whether this payment will be credited in dollars or guaraníes, nor any conversion rate. Ask the assigned institution and the BCP; do not assume an exchange rate.
How can I confirm I have actually been paid?
An assigned bank is not proof that funds have reached your account. Review your account statement and available balance. If no credit appears, ask the assigned institution and keep its response or reference number.
What about mutual funds?
Mutual funds are not bank deposits and should not be treated as automatically covered by the Deposit Guarantee Fund. The Securities Superintendency temporarily suspended redemptions for certain funds exposed to ueno bank, not all funds. Official circular.
Security: never share passwords, PINs or verification codes or pay anyone promising to release your funds. BCP guidance.
Radar perspective
The key measure of progress is how many beneficiaries in each group actually received the money. Understanding an individual case requires the balance and deposit type, the official lookup result, and a statement or reply from the receiving bank.
