October 8, 2026 · Data through the end of September 2026
The Ministry of Public Works and Communications reported cumulative budget execution of G. 4.6 trillion through the end of September, equivalent to 63% of the current Financial Plan.
Under Level 500, corresponding to investment, execution reached G. 3.1 trillion, equivalent to 65% of the financial plan.
What the figure represents
MOPC says this is the highest level of execution recorded for September in the last decade. The ministry links the result to continued payments and commitments associated with ongoing works.
Why it matters for companies and investment
Public-investment execution has direct effects on contractors, suppliers, employment, construction schedules and demand for infrastructure-related services. The budget figure, however, does not by itself represent the physical progress of each project.
Radar view: the indicator confirms a high pace of financial execution. The next focus should be the correspondence between disbursements, physical progress and milestone completion in strategic projects.
