Paraguay's Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF) announced payments totalling PYG 36.967 billion to government suppliers and other creditors on October 20, 2026, through the Treasury Directorate. The official notice covers scheduled transfers; it does not independently confirm that every recipient's bank account was credited.
Breakdown and implications
The ministry said payment requests were submitted between October 15 and 19. Funding comprises PYG 142 million from Source 10 for petty cash, PYG 947 million from Source 20 and PYG 35.879 billion from Source 30. Suppliers may consult the MEF payment schedule and procurement portal. This is relevant to contractor liquidity, not an announcement of new public investment.
