OPEC+ freezes November production levels and keeps supply policy cautious

Seven OPEC+ countries decided to keep November 2026 required production levels at September levels, with no additional increase.

UPDATED: OCTOBER 5, 2026 · OFFICIAL SOURCE: OPEC

The decision was taken by Saudi Arabia, Russia, Iraq, Kuwait, Kazakhstan, Algeria and Oman. The group kept November required production levels unchanged from September.

What changes for the market

For now, the decision removes expectations of an additional supply increase from these producers. Attention therefore remains on effective crude availability and on the evolution of inventories, transport and logistics capacity.

What businesses and investors should watch

For Paraguay, the relevant transmission channel is through international fuel prices and their effect on transport, logistics and inflation. An OPEC+ decision does not determine local prices on its own, but it is one of the variables shaping the cost of imported energy.

The group's next meeting is scheduled for November 1. Until then, the focus will remain on how markets respond to available supply and on any change that could alter the balance between production and demand.
