Paraguay's Ministry of Public Works and Communications reported on October 24 that duplication of departmental route D025 along General Elizardo Aquino Avenue in Luque is expected to reach 57% physical-financial progress by the end of October. The release describes a future forecast; Radar does not present that percentage as progress already achieved on publication.
Progress by component
The works cover 4.485 kilometers and form part of the Las Residentas road corridor. According to the MOPC, the Las Residentas interchange is 85% complete and the box culverts are 80% complete. Earthworks are projected to reach 40% by month-end.
The ministry reports completion of the bridge deck slab over Avay Creek in the Asunción–Luque direction and of the rectangular discharge channel. The project includes turnarounds, connections and a collector road serving surrounding neighborhoods. Overall completion is scheduled for 2027.
Implications for businesses
For businesses operating or holding property in the area, actual opening of access points and traffic continuity during construction matter most. Better connectivity is a project objective; the release does not quantify time savings, property appreciation or economic benefits already achieved. Component percentages must not be added together or confused with overall progress.
